Peregrine,
We are developing a (yet another) Java based object oriented accelerator
infrastructure (xal). The mapping from PVs to our "devices" occurs in an
xml formatted input file (used to instantiate our "object-graph"). We have
a "ChannelManager" class that assists in the mapping of channels <->
devices. Chris Allen can explain it to you (I think he's right around your
hall).
