Folks, The lovely Kay Kasemir has written device support for the EtherNet/IP interface to the Allen-Bradley ControlLogix PLC. At SSRL we have a number of projects which will be using FlexLogix PLCs (see http://www..ab.com/logix/flexlogix/). Allen-Bradley claims there will be an EtherNet/IP communications module available in September. Kay is reasonably sure that porting his driver will be non-trivial. So, my questions: - is anybody in the EPICS community planning on using this PLC family? - if so, would anyone be willing to help in writing EPICS device support? --Harvey ---- Harvey Rarback phone: (650)926-3963 Stanford Linear Accelerator Center fax: (650)926-4100 2575 Sand Hill Road home phone: (650)560-9111 Menlo Park, CA 94025 [email protected] "Always tell the truth, that way you don't have to keep track."
