Previously there was a discussion about how to implement isinf if the vendor defines isnan and finite but not isinf.

Bob Soliday (APS) provided the following implementation

#include <math.h>
#define isinf(D) (!finite((D)) && !(isnan((D))))


This is what will be used for alpha, vms, and windows.
