When a telnet session is initiated on a VxWorks IOC,
there is some output on the console.
You can capture this output by monitoring the console port
over serial connection.

Here is an example  of that output (the time stamp was
added by my serial port monitoring process):
2001-10-25,16:21:47: telnetd: This system *IN USE* via telnet.
2001-10-25,16:21:47: shell restarted.

  I have a situation in which I would like to know if someone has
created a telnet connection to an EPICS IOC.  I had hoped that the IOC
error logging facility might capture a telnet connection event;
however, it does not.  Has anyone else encountered this problem and is
there a solution?
