They do not appear to be alpha versions to me. We are operating with
seq-1.9.5 and it works just fine.

Afaik, versions > 2.0 are not compatible with base-3.13.x, only 3.14.
One more seq issue: Imho it would be very useful to have some lind of
pvPutComplete command, that is, a pvPut that checks for record process
completion (calling ca_put_complete and waiting for the callback). Are
there plans to add such a feature? Are there any objections?
