I am by no means a Qt expert, but I believe this should be no problem. When I say "control multiple displays", I mean that one program is running and writing to/interacting with many remote X servers. Qt/X11 is available with a GPL and QPL (Gnu, Qt Public License, respectively), which both are "free" licenses in the open source sense, and requiring that any code developed using Qt/X11 Free edition is also open source (if distributed.) I could not easily figure out what is the difference between GPL and QPL. There are also commercial licenses available. And, the Windows (and Mac) versions are only available with commercial licenses (if I understand it correctly.) So, Qt/X11 is free software but Qt/Win and Qt/Mac are not. Trying to figure out what can and what can not be done under different types of licenses gives me a headache. It would be nice if somebody clarified the license issues concerning various software components that are used together with Epics (no, I am NOT volunteering to do this!)
