XCas is now available from the BESSY web-site:

http://www-csr.bessy.de/control/SoftDist/XCas

XCas is a class library on top of the Portable CAS making PV properties
easily configurable and providing a high-level & easy-to-use interface
(no GDDs).

This was mentioned in a talk for the EPICS meeting at PSI, see
