I have been using on Solaris the current caTCL Epics extension with a
product from Ajuba Systems (free) called TclPro1.4. It includes Tk8.3
Tcl8.3 and itk3.2. In addition I dynamically load the BLT2.4 and caTcl
libraries . The nice feature of the Ajuba product is that it includes a
very good tcl debugger.

The current release of caTCL includes a new pv subcommand "pv vmap"
which effectively maps a BLT vector to a multi-element process variable.
The documentation on ET:  EPICS TCL/TK Interface includes a description
of the new subcommand.
