It sounds like there is a problem with the communication between the DCM and
your IOC.

Do the following (All via the vxWorks shell)

dbpf "<dcm record>.TPRO","1"

What does it show? Does it show active for 8 seconds spans? I will guess yes.

Now type

dbior "drvAb",3

On the link that has the DCM look at the first part. You should see something
like:

AB-6008SV link: 1 osw 002c vme: 0xf0c01000
    6008SV2R Scanner Series A Revision A Copyright (c) 1995 Allen-Bradley
Company
         Mailbox lock timeouts 0
              Command timeouts 1
               Command Failure 0
         Interrupts per second 13
    Block Transfers per second 6
    Adapter Status Words
    1f20 0000 0000 0000 1d20 0000 0000 0000
    0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 0000
    0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 0000
    0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 0000
    scan list
    00 04
Adapter 0 ONLINE 1 slot addressing
    CARD 0: BT Scanning abDcm

Do you see an excessive number of command timeouts and/or failures?

Also do a

dbpr "<dcm record>",3
dbpr "<bi record>",3

Where <bi record> is the record you are looking at on the dm2K screen.

I would like to see these.

The second is a AB crate plugged with a 1771DCM, a PLC5/40, a 1771SDN and two I/O local modules. The third is a 1794ADN which controls a 1794IB16 & a 1794OB16.
