I am having a problem trying to use the synApps motor record in conjunction with
encoder readback. On the assumption that the problem is trivial, since I find no
reference to it in the listserv archive, I give a brief description of the
problem as an initial posting.
I have set <motor>.URIP = Yes
<motor>.RDBL = Name of encoder record
<motor>.RRES = 1.0
The <encoder>.VAL field has the same EGU as the motor.
After the first 2 moves, things seems to work fine. However, when I boot the
ioc, the motor record does not seem to pick up the initial value of the encoder
and its DVAL field is zero. I do not seem to be able to restore the DVAL field
of the motor at iocInit time via the save_restore mechanism.
Have I overlooked something?
David
