When you consider to extend CA libarary to support large array, please also
consider to add API/protocol to access subarray with offset.

As far as I understand, EPICS CA/DB library allow to access a part of
array if it starts
from the top of array, ie. a[:n] in Python notation.. In Db library, we
needed to implement
API to access array data with offset, i.e. a[n:n+m] in Python notation
again, for effcient use
of memory in a subarray record. I believe this kind of access method
is useful for many applications and it will not so difficult and will
not break any existing application.

I would greatly appriciate if you could consider this possibility.
