  I am building some IOC applications that make use of object files
obtained from other, non-EPICS libraries. These libraries are included
in the linker search list by adding them to the Makefile variable
USR_LDLIBS in Makefile.Vx. The use of this variable, incidentally,
does not appear to be documented in "EPICS IOC Software Configuration
Manual". I do not remember how I discovered its existence; however, I
suspect that I perused the collection of EPICS Makefile rules.

  What I now need to do is specify some directories that will be
searched to obtain some object files that are not in libraries. Is
there a Makefile variable to which I might add this list of
directories?
