I have been playing with R3.14.0alpha2 using a linux IOC with local
clients.
Kernel version: 2.2.16-22
gcc version: 2.96 20000731
glibc version: 2.2-5
I have these env vars set
EPICS_CAS_BEACON_ADDR_LIST=192.168.10.255
EPICS_CA_AUTO_ADDR_LIST=no
EPICS_CAS_INTF_ADDR_LIST=192.168.10.10
EPICS_CA_ADDR_LIST=192.168.10.255
EPICS_HOST_ARCH=linux-x86
EPICS_TS_MIN_WEST=300
EPICS_BASE=/epics/base
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/util:/epics/base/lib/linux-x86
The connection and event delivery behavior seems somewhat erratic;
sometimes there are substantial delays. Are there any special
requirements on event callback functions?
I never see any problems or delays when using a portable
channel access server with R3.13.3.
