Hi,

This is an update on the assert I was receiving on OSF.  The problem is
triggered in a CA client running on a host when the server containing
the PV the client has connected to is rebooted.  When this happens the
file descriptor for this channel in the client becomes invalid and the
close call on this fd fails with the errno of EINVAL.

This is an operating system bug.  It has been confimed by the OSF
engineering team.  A patch for OSF version 5.1 will appear in patch kit
4 base level 18 and will be available in Q4 this year.

The short term solution is to ignore the return from the close call. 
Just assume that it works.
