The channel access client library will disconnect from its server
under the following conditions:

1) If CA has not seen a beacon from a server that it is connected to
for EPICS_CA_CONN_TMO seconds then an echo message is sent to the server
over TCP/IP. If this echo message isn't replied to by the server within 5
additional seconds then the client will assume that the server is no longer
present on the network and disconnect.

2) The client has a request pending against the server for an unreasonably
long delay.

The above situations might occur if the CPU on the server's
host is saturated. On IOCs the CA server's threads run at a very low
priority. Therefore, CA will drop out first if all of the CPU is
consumed by database processing. It is also possible that the CA client
load has consumed all of the remaining CPU. To investigate further run spy
from the vxWorks shell.

It is also possible that your network is very busy, or it has
an unusual number of damaged packets, or that persons are rearranging
the wires implementing the network paths in-between the two machines.
Damaged packet counts can sometimes be seen with the vxWorks ifShow
command (depending on the driver for your network interface card).
