You're not trying to run the startup script using the host-based shell are
you? While it may be possible to do so, I don't know of anyone who does
with EPICS, and this can (and probably will) cause problems like this
(prepending an '@' to some of the commands like '@cd' might help). You'll
also need to set up symbol table synchronization between host and target.
It's probably much easier to configure and use the target shell instead.
