Hi all,

Although I don't have the Matlab interface that Ned is looking for, his posting
triggered me to announce that if anybody would be interested in an interface to
GNU Octave,  I have written (beginnings of) cdev and channel access interfaces.
At the moment, there is get & put functionality (arrays work, too).

(GNU Octave is an open source Matlab-like language, mostly compatible with
Matlab.

There is still lots of room for improvement (monitor implementation, etc.), but
the
basic stuff works quite well (it is not extensively tested, however). If you are

interested (or have already written a better one), please let me know.
