As a future user, I think it should.  Bob Dalesio has been telling me
for years, use cpid, not the pid in base.  Recent tech-talk certainly
confirms that the old pid should be removed.

We did hear from Mark Rivers that he has one called epid.

Can anyone summarize the situation?
