Hello:

Since Rozelle Wright reported a Solaris Compiler issue
I might add that I experienced something similar with
Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0:

I got an "internal compiler error" in gdd-related include files with version 6.0
I use the one from the Microsoft Developer Network subscription.
Both the July 1999 and the latest one, January 2000, exhibited the problem,
I'm not sure how that compares to the boxed compiler that you can buy in
software shops.

The fix was to install the Visual Studio 6.0 Service Pack 3.
