Experimental Physics and Industrial Control System
Hi All:
According to the Record Reference Manual, a Fanout record which supports six
output links, can be chained with one or more additional Fanout records in order
to increase the number of output links available. For example, two Fanouts
records chained together can propagate 11 outputs (one output from the first
record links to the input of the second).
The Data Fanout record is "similar" to the Fanout. Where as the Fanout record
only supports control links (i.e. no data is passed), the Data Fanout propagates
control AND data. A Data Fanout record supports eight output links. Can the Data
Fanout record also be chained, like the Fanout? If so, could someone explain
how? I have tried every permutation I can thank of, linking various types of
records with the Data Fanout, to no avail.
My needs are a Data Fanout of 16 outputs from a single Binary Output. I have
successfully used a single Data Fanout with all eight outputs.
Thanks
Russ
