I like the APS implementation for getting PVs out. We had the requirement to 
have a whole updating MEDM screen available. It is normally available as an 
overhead display in the control room, so we (Jingchen, not me) implemented a 
script which captures the screen and changes the image to a .GIF file, which is 
referred to on a web page. It is updated every 10 minutes, and needs to be 
"refreshed" for an update to appear (the page gets cached).
