Subject: The problem in mvme162 to access A32 space for STR7201 board.

Hi all,

I work with mvme162 CPU board (16MB), EPICS R3.13, vxWorks version 5.3.1.
I encounted problems when I started to work with STR7201 board (32 Channel
VME Multiscaler). I used MCA Record, corresponding devSTR7201.c device
Support and drvSTR7201.c driver.
It is recommended to work with this board in A32 addressing
mode. But any attempts to acceess the board registers in this mode
caused Bus error. The base address of the board can be changed. At first I
set it to defined in the driver value (0xA0000000). I couldn't access the
board on this base address. I changed the base address within A32 space
(starting from 0x1000000). But result was the same. I couldn't find
the place in A32 address space where the board would be accessable from
vxWorks. To access the board registers I used either 'd' shell command or
vxMemProbe() routine.
I tried to experience with the embedded 162Bug Debugger. With this
tool I could successfully read and write the board registers (using 'MD' and
'MW' 162Bug Debugger commands).
I checked memory mapping in VMEchip2. The 1-st master memory decoder
(which maps the local CPU memory to VMEbus) maps the area 0x1000000-0xefff0000
to VMEbus. Why can't I access this area? May be, something has to be done
with vxWorks?

Does anybody have any experience or ideas how to overcome this problem?

All ideas, advise and help will be appreciated, thanks in advance,
