I have recently upgraded some of my mv167s to mv172s with great success. 
Now I am trying to upgrade an mv162 to the mv172 and having no luck. 

I've got EPICS_3.13.0b11 and some home-brew code (subroutine record stuff) 
running on the 162. I'm also using an IPack digital I/O module (Systran 
316DIO) and a couple of the serial ports.

I switch over to load up the 172 iocCore and vxWorks. The library stays the 
same since it has always been built for the mv167 and the other mv167 
libraries carried over directly to the mv172.

It loads up to iocInit and then just seems to hang. Sometimes I get a few 
more lines out of the startup script, but that's different each time. Up to 
iocInit, everything looks perfectly normal every time. The only thing 
really different between this and the mv167s I replaced is the use of the 
IPack carrier. I'm assuming something is breaking there. Any ideas?

BTW: I access the IPack module directly from a subroutine (record), not 
from an EPICS device layer.
