We have been upgrading and running Y2K tests on our systems.
I was sure that the EPICS components would have no trouble,
mainly based on everything I had heard and read.
Well, I got quite a surprise when our system display showed
1 Jan 1900! Turns out that tsStampToText() is used to break
out the timestamp (which itself is OK), and it only has an
option for a "YY" type format. Unfortunately this function
call is at the heart of our system. We are running R3.13.beta11,
in case there are version differences in this area.
So, a word to the wise might be to check into timestamp
formatting. I'm thinking we will replace the timestamp to
text and text to year, month, day, etc. back-to-back
conversions with a single routine that does everything (right).
