Dear All,
I remember just a few days ago that Jeff Hill mentioned a bug in EPICS R3.12
I had noticed that for a while. But yesterday, it really screw me and I havn't been able to recover till now. So I am call ing help :)
I changed my host computer from tcsh back to csh, and I found all the 162s that are booting from my host stop loading. Two different cases: One is if my IOC using the rsh, then it will say "bus error" and print out bunch of things. The other is if my ioc is using the ftp (user name + passwd), then it will hang up when it tries to load the VxWorks symbols.
What realy bothers me is that this only happens to 1162. I have 167s as well which are uing rsh. It has the same "bus error", but when I put in the passwd to yse the ftp, then it loads no problem.
Before, the experience that I had is that if I use the ftp, then the 162 will hang up, now, this time, it's the other way around.
Hope someone out there could shed some light on this murky situation for me. Or Jeff Hill? :)
Really appreciate it.
Have a good weekend.
Best Arch

Microsoft only has one product doesn't suck.
Unfortunately, it's a vacuum cleaner.
