Since the SLAC collaboration meeting I have been putting some flesh on my
strawman proposal for unbundling hardware support from EPICS base.  The
first issue of my more detailed document can be found at
	http://www.aps.anl.gov/asd/people/anj/unbundled/

Anyone who is currently an EPICS site manager or responsible for writing
or maintaining support code (record, device and/or driver support) is
encouraged to read this document because once accepted this proposal will
be implemented as from the next major release of EPICS base (R3.14).

This is where you get to volunteer to take responsibilitiy for one or more
of the "standard" hardware support modules.  Don't all rush at once...
