Geoff,

It seems from what you have said, that you are just trying to keep the Host
and target compiler straight.  I have compiled a good deal of the EPICS Host
stuff on Linux but have not yet tried getting to the target stuff.  From the
quick look that I just took, it seems that you are looking now to modify
some of the stuff in CONFIG.Vx.  I am not quite sure how to get this all
working since I have never done work setting up the cross compiler.  The
error message that you are getting seems familiar though.  Have you executed
the appopriate scripts in the startup directory.  (for bash you need to
execute (EPICS_TOP)/startup/Site.profile.)  I would be somewhat interested
in seeing what you are doing with the cross compiler.
