I recommend updating to Solaris 2.6, or even 2.7. In addition
to Y2K compliance, there are a vast number of security patches
included, and quite a few other improvements.
I have found all old EPICS binaries run with no problems on
the newer version. The reverse is not true in all cases:
the loader will balk at older versions of some standard
shared-objects (like Motif lib).

No issues were found for any parts of EPICS, other than
a few minor changes to CONFIG_SITE's.
