Rplf,
We have such a facility in our vintage SLC control system, which we call
Multiknobbing.
This includes linear, sinusoidal, and polynomial choices for each device, each
with different scale factors. There also absolute and relative knobs, and many
other features.
We will be needing this facility in EPICS for the NLC; I'm sure it will come up
at the May meeting.
I know TNNAF considered this, and they may have a CDEV implementation. I'm sure
someone from there will respond.
