Has anybody done this?

We need a utility which allows one valuator/slider to control the
setpoints of a group of devices:

The devices of the group are usually individually controlled and should
be interactively assignable to the valuator.
Absolute and relative setpoint changes are desired with each device
having it's own scale factor.
