I have compiled and linked (using gmake) dm on a new Solaris 2.6 Sparc machine.
The source code was obtained from edd_dm_2.4 from LANL. The epics base release 
is R3.13.0.beta12, and I have the new extensions/config.
The resulting image successfully runs my displays but causes a "flickering" of
text update objects - seemingly updating them even if there are no value 
changes. The same display runs without flicker on a dm image created by Deb 
Kerstiens.
  Anyone have any ideas about the cause of the flicker?
