Am I correct in thinking that the Epics build system does not support
cross compilers for host builds?
I am trying to set up a system where a single computer (i586-linux) is
used to build epics host tools for several different host
architectures. I have configured egcs as a cross compiler for each
desired architecture (ppc-linux, m68k-linux & sparc-solaris) and can
cross compile and link test programs for each. The problem comes when I
try to build epics - the build system makes no distinction between tools
such as 'aitGen' & the epics modified 'flex' & 'antelope' which are used
during the build process and should be compiled & executed natively and
the tools which appear in the final epics build - such as 'excas',
'libca' etc. which should be cross compiled.
