Er... Now wait just a minute. That buffer (RVAL) will overflow
if the motor runs *forever* (using JOGF or JOGR).
We had an application for a stepper motor to run a sample
spinner. To drive the stepper motor continuously,
we bypassed EPICS and connected the STEP+ and STEP-
lines going into the motor driver to SIGNAL and COMMON
from a function generator. Not elegant, but it worked fine.
