I have just upgraded my Solaris machine from Solaris 2.5 to 2.6.  Now
when I run gdct313 from a remote xterminal I get the mesage 

can't open DISPLAY

if I specify the node name in the DISPLAY variable (instead of the
default number) I get

res_init: socket: Invalid argument
can't open DISPLAY

instead.

On the host machine's terminal this runs fine.  On the remote terminal I
can run xterm and other xapps so security should not be the problem.
Has anyone else seen this?
