Hello again everybody.
I'm back to trying to read a waveform with a Xycom 566, but this time I'm doing it
the normal (one channel) way. This is a grep on my source directory to show which
Xy566 items I've included and which I have not:
base.dbd:device(ai,VME_IO,devAiXy566Se,"XYCOM-566 SE Scanned")
base.dbd:#device(ai,VME_IO,devAiXy566Di,"XYCOM-566 Dif Scanned")
base.dbd:#device(ai,VME_IO,devAiXy566DiL,"XYCOM-566 Dif Latched")
base.dbd:device(waveform,VME_IO,devWfXy566Sc,"XYCOM-566 Single Channel")
base.dbd:driver(drvXy566)
baseLIBOBJS:#LIBOBJS += $(EPICS_BASE_BIN)/devAiXy566Di.o
baseLIBOBJS:#LIBOBJS += $(EPICS_BASE_BIN)/devAiXy566DiL.o
baseLIBOBJS:LIBOBJS += $(EPICS_BASE_BIN)/devAiXy566Se.o
baseLIBOBJS:LIBOBJS += $(EPICS_BASE_BIN)/devWfXy566Sc.o
baseLIBOBJS:LIBOBJS += $(EPICS_BASE_BIN)/drvXy566.o
With this, a board set up for ai operation works fine, but the one set up for
waveform won't even initiallize. The normal ai board is set up for A16=0x6000,
A24=0x000000. The WF board is set up with A16=0x9000, A24=0x080000. Also note that
"ai_xy566_io_report" returns one active Xycom set up for ai. "xy566_io_report"
returns nothing. Also note that the ai board is initiallized even with no ai records
loaded, while the wf is never initiallized.
I have but two questions:
1) Can SE ai and WF coexist?
2) What am I missing?
