John,

If you (or anyone else) find out what the problem with MEDM is, PLEASE let me
know. I'm still trying to track down the problem with mine (RH Linux 4.1, MEDM
2.3.3). I went so far as to set up identical machines and run them tandomly.
The original one does as always (medm dies every 6-7 hours), but a cron task I
set up restarts it. Medm on the "new" one never leaves the process list, but
it's quite dead nonetheless. Unfortunately, my cron task can't tell since it
finds medm in the process list, so I don't know how regularly this (would)
happen. In both cases, Linux and X continue unaffected.
