All,

I am not certain that this is relevant to Li Jingyi's problem but I should mention that
we saw a problem here where newer versions of Solaris were incompatible 
with older versions of gnu gcc 2.7.2. We fixed this problem by upgrading to
gcc 2.8 which also had some new problems which have been avoided by rearranging
the EPICS 3.13.Beta12.real.soon.now C++ source code. You might try gcc 2.8 and 
EPICS 3.13.Beta12 when it is available or alternatively the latest 2.7.n release of 
gcc with EPICS R3.13.beta11.

BTW: gcc 2.8 overall appears to be much better than gcc 2.7.2.
