Does the .cshrc file of the account it is using echo anything to stdout
when it starts up, or try to read anything from stdin? VxWorks does an
'rsh host cat /path/to/file' to get a file using rsh, and some entries
in the .cshrc file can prevent it. Try doing an 'rsh apis /bin/true'
from another host machine as the boot user - you need get no echoed
characters back before the prompt. I'm not sure if this is the problem
in your case though as it succeeds in retrieving the boot file but not
the symbol table. The 'stty' in the error message hints that the .cshrc
might be doing something with stty, but I can't tell what.
