Hi Me,
Sorting through documentation is sometimes a lot harder than sorting through
the code. At least with code you know what part of the system
you should look at and you are sure it is up to date.
There is a reference to
several EPICS_CAS environmental variables in the channel access
reference manual available at the LANL Epics site
Section 1.7 on Configurating a CA server. There is also a comment that this
chapter of the document is "under construction". This probably explains why
EPICS_CAS_INTF_ADDR_LIST has not made it into the documentation yet.
Perhaps it will happen this summer if our technical writer comes back from
school or if Jeff can get enough time off the phone answering EPICS questions
so that he can update the documentation himself.
Meanwhile if someone else has a problem with a CA Server they can
do a search for the pattern "CA,Server" in the Epics Listserver Archives on
the top level of the EPICS Home page
and can find the solution that John Sinclair so kindly posted to this
mail list.
Jeff will be back from Spring Break on Monday and may have some comments on
this topic himself.
