Given the following record link:

 |                |              |             |

In this case when record 2 processes, record 1 also processes.

If the scan field of record 1 was changed to 0.1 at runtime,
would record 1 be processed independently of record 2? The question is
actually, may the scan field be changed from passive to periodic
and back again at runtime?
