Can someone out there who happens to be using the Hytec 2992
CAMAC driver and EPICS 3.13.0.b11 please tell me if there is
something obvious I'm doing wrong here?

I've got my new 3.13.0.b11 up and running on a test stand.
I've put together all the standard CAMAC support (I think)
and things seemed to be working. I started looking really
closely at some A/D boards I was checking out and found some
strange things. My RVAL will go from 0-255. Then it jumps
back to 0-63. Then it picks up at 320-511. Again it jumps
back to 0-63 and then 576-1023. That pattern continues.
Looking at it bit-wise, bits 7 (64) and up only work with the
"buddy system". In other words, any single bit 7 and up will
be ignored. Any two or more bits 7 and up will be read
normally.

At first, I suspected the A/D boards (they were being tested
for a reason, afterall). I went through a pile of them and
every one was exactly like the others.

The dataway displays show the proper bits on all the time, so
the boards are off the hook, as far as I am concerned.

Then the CAMAC crate controller... two the same.

Then the crate... two the same.

Then the cables... two sets the same.

Then the Hytec 2992... two the same.

Having written the driver for the KS2140 (prior to switching
to the Hytec), I'm at a loss because I can't think of
anything in the software that would (could) give these
results. Does that mean there's something wrong with my
hardware somewhere? Is there a debug I can invoke to see what
the 2992 is reading? I know the data is good as of the CAMAC
backplane. After that, how can I tell what it is?
