The Argonne Year 2000 initiative has requested that all critical
software be examined to determine year 2000 compliance. To this end
Marty Kraimer will examine and test EPICS base.
Marty has spent most of a week looking to see if EPICS is ready for the
year 2000. The primary modules that handle time for epics base are
tsLib (Time stamp conversion utilities) and drvTS (the code which
provides time stamps for the iocs). So far it looks like we have no
problem until the year 2034.
Further reports will be issued a EPICS is tested by rolling over the date
on a test system.
