Three significant changes have been made to the frequency archiver:
1) The frequency archiver is changed to support monitor capability as well -
it will be renamed the channel archiver to distinguish it from the save set archiver.
2) The disk allocation scheme has been modified to incrementally use more disk space
per file for a given channel. This will greatly reduce the amount of disk space used
when the channel is not changing frequently. It will add seeks on the data retrieval,
however, tests show that this is not going to impact retrieval speed more than 10%.
3) THe related information for a channel is now kept as well. This means that an
enumerated field being archived will also archive the strings that represent the
possible states. Analog type values will keep alarm limits, display limits, precision and
engineering units.
