I have updated the Allen Bradley software support document. This
docement is available via the APS EPICS documentation page. The actual
URL for the document is:
http://www.aps.anl.gov/asd/controls/epics/EpicsDocumentation/HardwareManuals/AllenBradley/allenBradley.html
It describes new support for the 1771 N series Analog I/O modules and
for the 1771 IXE-HR module. The 1771DCM support is slightly changed from
the previous version. The main change is that the special output record
types no longer exist. Output support is now via standard output
records.
All the allen bradley support has been bundled together in the form of a
sub application that can be installed and built under a <top>
application as defined in the R3.13 Application Source Release control
manual. This includes the support that presently exists in epics base.
For 3.13 the allen bradley support will be kept in base but no more
changes will be made to it. All future changes will be made to the
unbundled version. I have installed and built it in the 3.13.0beta11
share area in use at APS/ASD. I am not sure of compatibility with any
release prior to beta11.
Bakul Banerjee will place tar image of the support in the regular EPICS
password protected software distribution area.
