To be able to use the standard XY566 driver you'll need to change the
base addresses of the card, 0xf800 isn't a standard location for the
EPICS driver. What you actually set them to depends on whether you are
using Single-Ended or Differential analogue inputs. I'll assume you
only have one XY566 card for now.

If single-ended, the register base address needs to be 0x6000 on A16
space, and the memory base address 0x000000. If differential, the
register base address should be 0x7000 in A16 space and the memory base
address 0x040000. This gives the following switch settings on the card:

Switch	Single	Diff
S3.1	Closed	Closed
S3.2	Open	Open
S3.3	Open	Open
S3.4	Closed	Open
S3.5	Closed	Closed
S3.6	Closed	Closed

S2.1	Closed	Closed
S2.2	Closed	Closed
S2.3	Closed	Closed
S2.4	Closed	Closed
S2.5	Closed	Closed
S2.6	Closed	Open
S2.7	Closed	Closed
S2.8	Closed	Closed

You also need the following switch and jumper settings, some of which
should be there by default anyway:

S1.1 Closed
S1.2 Open
S1.3 Open
S3.7 Closed
S3.8 Closed
J1 B
J2 B
J3 B
J5 In
J16 B

You also have to select the analogue conversion options:

Single Ended: J9 A+C, J14 Out, J15 In
Differential: J9 B, J14 Out, J15 Out

Now in your ai record, you set the DTYP field to "XYCOM-566 SE Scanned"
for single-ended or "XYCOM-566 Dif Scanned" for differential. The INP
field should be set to card 0, and the signal number then selects which
of the 566 input channels is to be read by this record.

You can find more information including the switch settings for
additional cards in my "Gemini Hardware Installation" document,
