I agree. I modified 3.13 so that you can define the constants
that normally go in errMdef.h in the driver's (subsystem's) header file.
With this change the only required modification to base is the addition of
your driver's (subsystem's) header file to the gnu make variable
ERR_S_FILES. Since this can be done in $(HOME)/CONFIG then
technically modifications to base are no longer required. You must of
course rebuild base whenever new error codes are installed.
Perhaps at some point in the future we should allow new error codes to
be installed from within the application directories?
