Note that the moment that people get this feature . . . the absolute next
one is probably going to be sending such messages to alphanumeric pagers . .
. the assumption being that if an alarm is important enough to attempt to
contact a 'real person', then the condition probably reads to be addressed
before someone logs in and checks email . . . sometime tomorrow.

So the messages(s) being sent probably should be considered in that context
as well.
