Hi Steve,

Dm currently creates text-entry widgets with the max number of
chars set to EPICS MAX_STRING_SIZE which is defined to be 40.
(This is strictly historical and could easily be changed.)

Is it this limit you're experiencing or is it dropping chars
even when not exceeding the limit?
