Marian,
do you set any of the Channel Access configuration environment variables
(probably in your resource.def file)? I remember having problems when I
ran the course there with the restrictions which CERN make on udp/ip
broadcasts, so you probably have some specific IP addresses listed in
EPICS_CA_ADDR_LIST. I suspect that one of those addresses is
unreachable. Typing epicsPrtEnvParams at the vxWorks prompt will tell
you what the default values are for the Channel Access configuration
variables. The output of that command will be a useful debugging aid
for us if you still can't work out what's wrong.
