This is my favourite technique, but you need to include .PP and/or .MS
flags after the record.field name if you want the link to be anything
other than .NPP.NMS (the pproc and palrm properties of the link field do
*not* work here - I wish they did...).
Another method is to use hierarchical connectors, as covered in the
EPICS CapFast tutorial.
